tympanogram's 3rd Birthday Show

The year that's passed since we turned 2 has been an eventful one for us. We released two vinyl singles with local favorites Joywave and Old Tapes; we brought The Static Jacks - who played our first birthday show - back to Rochester. We expanded from a team of two writers to a team of 10, and we've been humbled by various praise for the work we put in to the blog.

So it only seems right to step back and celebrate it all, and celebrate it with the community that we love and who have enabled us to grow.

To that end, we're throwing a concert for our 3rd birthday, again at Bug Jar, and again for a paltry $8 ($10 if you're under the age of 21, however). It’s going to be on Friday, March 30th, 2012, and doors for the show will open at 8PM, but since no one shows up then, the music will get started at 9PM.

We’re thrilled to have Born Gold coming in to headline the show. If you haven't heard Born Gold's excellent debut album, 'Bodysongs,' you can get the whole thing for free on his website (www.borngold.us) for a limited time.

In addition to Born Gold, we're excited that tympanogram 002 artist Old Tapes will be opening the show as well. (Get their EP/7" single at oldtapesmusic.bandcamp.com.)
